Decision details

1. The policy regulates and ensures that the council is active and responsible in maintaining the cultural representation and engagement of its residents.

2. The policy ensures that the council is proactive in its understanding of how art and culture impact on mental health and wellbeing as well as the local economy.

To continue with current practice of “first come first served” programming of exhibition spaces which limits opportunity for alternative work to be sourced and supported.  This in turn limits range and quality of the exhibitions and represents a narrow demographic of our residents.
