1.         That the terms reported in this report are approved and a 1-year lease be granted as detailed at recommendation 1 to the report.

2.         That authority is granted to issue instructions to the Director of Governance (Chorley and South Ribble) to complete the standard lease agreement 

Reasons for decision

To generate revenue, support and promote economic growth in Chorley

Other options considered and rejected

To proceed without the grant of a lease would place both parties at significant legal risk.

Not grant the lease would lead to the Council forsaking the rental and service charge income that would be received.
