That the Grant Application be approved.

Reasons for recommendations

1.         The applicant has acquired a vacant property on Market Street and will be opening a new business called Cheeky Cherubs Tattoos. This is a brand-new venture and will be the first female tattooist in the town centre.

2.         Before it became vacant, the unit was a ladies fashion shop called KT Boutique. That business has moved to another part of the town centre leaving this property empty for the last 3 weeks. Given the location, it is important that the unit is occupied as soon as possible

Other options considered and rejected

This is an application for a new business to renovate and decorate the exterior of the premises in a prime location in Chorley Town Centre. Without this grant, it would delay the opening by months. It is vital to get the Business open and trading as soon as possible in order not to effect surrounding businesses.
