Councillor Peter Wilson presented a report seeking approval for the distribution of income from the Avondale Road Former Free Library Charitable Trust. A request had been received from Chorley Little Theatre to assist with a scheme of improvements works totalling £115,000.

The works proposed include improvements to the auditorium seating; replacement flooring; replacing pipework for the heating system; and other minor improvements. The Theatre had already raised 67,000 and other applications for financial assistance had been made.

RESOLVED – that the sum of £17,928.73 be distributed to Chorley Little Theatre Company Limited to support the provision of new flooring at the Chorley Little Theatre.
