Decision – That the minutes of the virtual Planning Committee meeting held on 25 June 2020 be approved as a correct record for signature by the Chair.

Planning applications to be determined

The Director (Customer and Digital) has submitted one item for planning applications to be determined (enclosed).

Councillor Neville Whitham joined the meeting at the beginning of this item.


The Director of Customer and Digital submitted one item for consideration. In considering the applications, Members of the Planning Committee took into account the agenda reports, the addendum and the verbal representations and submissions provided by officers and individuals.

After careful consideration, it was proposed by Councillor Alex Hilton, seconded by Councillor Chris France and a decision was subsequently taken (unanimously) that planning permission be granted, subject to conditions set out in the addendum.

Members noted the report of the Director of Customer and Digital which set out planning appeals and decisions received between 15 May and 3 July 2020.


The Service Lead for Planning provided an oral update to members about the direct action to remove the cabin on land near South Lodge, Wigan Lane. Cllr Morwood expressed his thanks to officers for their work.
