Resolved: That the minutes of the meeting Tuesday, 25 April 2023 of the Planning Committee be approved as a correct record.

After careful consideration, it was proposed by Councillor Alex Hilton, seconded by Councillor Alan Whittaker and resolved (11 for, 2 Against, 0 Abstentions) that planning permission be granted subject to conditions with an additional condition to be agreed by the Chair and Vice Chair.

After careful consideration, it was proposed by Councillor Alistair Morwood, seconded by Councillor Hilton to refuse planning permission.

 

The meeting adjourned at 19:17 and resumed at 19:25.

 

It was resolved (12 for, 0 against, and 1 abstention) that permission in principle be refused due to the fact that planning permission reference 01/00617/FUL was granted subjected to a condition (number 18) that required the application site to be retained as open land at all times. The Local Planning Authority attached significant weight to this condition which remains extant, it was not therefore appropriate to consider this proposal under the provisions of an application for permission in principle.
