You do, however, have the same right to speak as a member of the public and may remain in the room to enable you to exercise that right and then leave immediately. In either case you must not seek to improperly influence a decision on the matter.

The Director (Customer and Digital) has submitted three items for planning applications to be determined (enclosed).

Minutes:

The Director of Customer and Digital submitted three items for consideration. In considering the applications, Members of the Development Control Committee took into account the agenda reports, the addendum and the verbal representations and submissions provided by officers and individuals.

Full planning permission granted, subject to conditions and a Section 106 legal agreement.

Minutes:

After careful consideration it was proposed by Councillor Alistair Morwood, seconded by Councillor Danny Gee and a decision was subsequently taken (unanimously) that full planning permission be granted, subject to conditions in the report as amended in the addendum and a Section 106 legal agreement to secure the financial contribution towards the provision of public open space.

Full planning permission refused.

Minutes:

After careful consideration it was proposed by Councillor John Dalton that the decision be deferred to allow Members of the Planning Committee to visit the site of the proposals. The motion was seconded by Councillor Danny Gee. A vote was taken, and the motion was lost.

 

It was proposed by Councillor Alistair Morwood, seconded by Councillor Alan Whittaker and a decision was subsequently taken (11:0:1) that full planning permission be refused for the reason set out below:

 

The proposed development is inappropriate development in the Green Belt which is, by definition, harmful to it. It is not considered the very special circumstances submitted outweigh the harm to the Green Belt.

The Director of Customer and Digital submitted a report which set out planning appeals and decisions received between 8 July 2019 and 5 August 2019.

 

One appeal had been lodged and two appeals had been dismissed.
