The Director of Planning and Development submitted six items for consideration. In considering the applications, Members of the Planning Committee took into account the agenda reports, the addendum and the verbal representations and submissions provided by officers and individuals.

After careful consideration, it was proposed by Councillor Alan Whittaker, seconded by Councillor John Dalton, and a decision was subsequently taken (unanimously) that formal confirmation of the Order be made with modification. This affords permanent as opposed to provisional legal protection to the trees covered by that Order.

To receive and consider the report of the Director of Planning and Development (enclosed).

Minutes:

Members noted the report of the Director of Planning and Development which set out planning appeals and decisions received between 15 March and 16 April.

 

One planning appeal was lodged and validated, three planning appeals were dismissed and one planning appeal was withdrawn.

Any urgent business previously agreed with the Chair

Minutes:

As it was the last planning meeting of the municipal year before the all-out local elections in May, the Chair thanked Members of the committee for adapting to virtual and hybrid planning meetings over the last year during Covid-19.

 

Special thanks were given to Councillor Chris France, as Vice-Chair of the Planning Committee, for all his help and support over the years.

 

The Chair extended her best wishes to all members for the future.
