Need to appoint suitably qualified consultants to support the preparation on the Local Plan.
Alternative options considered and rejected:
Use of officers from central and home teams was discussed, however resources are not available from any of the three home teams of Preston, Chorley and South Ribble to support in this work. In addition, it was noted that existing officer lack the required knowledge and required to carry out this work.
