Recommendations approved.

 

Reasons for recommendation(s):

1.    Approval of the recommendations will enable the customer services function to develop into a shared service with a single operating model, as previously agreed by both councils. This includes the introduction of shared service management to lead the shared vision and direction of customer services, and a service development outline to transform and align the service within a single operating model.

2.    Implementing the review in a staged approach reflects feedback collected through staff engagement in the informal consultation for the review and will allow greater 1:1 support and consideration to be made for the whole service restructure.
