Decision made
1. That the terms reported in this report are approved and a 1-year lease be granted as detailed in recommendation 1 to this report.
2. That authority is granted to issue instructions to the Director of Governance (Chorley and South Ribble) to complete the standard lease agreement .
Reasons for decision
To generate revenue, support and promote economic growth in Chorley
Other options considered and rejected
To proceed without the grant of a lease would place both parties at significant legal risk.
Not grant the lease would lead to the Council forsaking the rental and service charge income that would be received.
