Reason for urgency:
To benefit from Contractor involvement in the pre-construction activities, namely demolition and site remediation. Contractor involvement in these activities will generate better value and ensure that the works are fully appropriate in allowing the main construction activities to proceed as required
To allow early engagement of the Contractor with key stakeholders and ensure that they are fully cognisant of their responsibilities to the Client and the wider community as the scheme develops into the construction phase
To maintain progress in line with the funding agreements with Homes England (HE) and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)
To maintain the level of governance achieved thus far, utilising the services of RLB to ensure transparent market testing and value-added design through the completion of the second stage of the tender process
