Amendment to COVID-19 ARG Tranche 3 Application

Decision type: Non-key

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Notice of proposed decision first published: 28/07/2021

Reason for urgency:
On Monday 14 June 2021, the Prime Minister announced a four-week pause at step 3 of the roadmap, until 19 July 2021. This means a 4-week extension of restrictions currently in situ, primarily impacting the hospitality, tourism, leisure and events sectors and their respective supply chain. We therefore consider it appropriate to accelerate plans for these businesses to receive additional funding and to maximise the support available to businesses at this time whilst restrictions have been extended.
It is also recognised a number of other businesses are impacted and unable to obtain grant funding due to missing previous ARG application windows. In light of the extension to the above restrictions and these businesses continuing to be affected by the Governments’ restrictions imposed, we consider it appropriate to accelerate plans for the remainder of this 3rd tranche allocation including support via ARG funding to these businesses, amongst other proposals as detailed within this report.

Anticipated restriction: Fully exempt  - View reasons

Explanation of anticipated restriction:
Paragraph 3: Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information)
