To receive and consider the report of the Director of Governance.

Dawn Highton, Service Lead Audit and Risk explained the purpose of the report and that the Council had three options available for appointing its external auditor from 2023 onwards. It was recommended that the Council took option 3, opting into the PSAA Sector Led National Scheme. It would allow the Council to work within regulations and gain experience while contracts and fee setting would be managed. Taking the approach alone would be resource intensive with the same outcome.

Decision – Members voted to approve officer recommendations unanimously.
