11.	Apologies for absence Minutes: An apology for absence was received from Councillor Cath Hoyle.
12.	Declarations of Any Interests Members are reminded of their responsibility to declare any personal interest in respect of matters contained in this agenda. If the interest arises only as result of your membership of another public body or one to which you have been appointed by the Council then you only need to declare it if you intend to speak. If the personal interest is a prejudicial interest, you must withdraw from the meeting. Normally you should leave the room before the business starts to be discussed. You do, however, have the same right to speak as a member of the public and may remain in the room to enable you to exercise that right and then leave immediately. In either case you must not seek to improperly influence a decision on the matter. Minutes: No declarations of any interests were declared.
13.	Minutes PDF 63 KB To confirm the minutes of the Standards Committee meeting held on 16 June 2011 as a correct record for signing by the Chair. Minutes: RESOLVED - That the minutes of the Standards Committee meeting held on 16 June 2011 be held as a correct record for signing by the Chair.
14.	Update on the Abolition of the Standards Regime PDF 504 KB To consider the enclosed report of the Monitoring Officer. Minutes: The Committee received a report of the Monitoring Officer giving them the latest update on the abolition of the Standards regime and proposals for a replacement at local level on a voluntary basis. It is intended to effect the abolition of the Standards Board regime through the Localism Bill. It is anticipated that the Bill would be laid before Parliament in December and would receive Royal Assent in late 2011. RESOLVED – That the information be noted.
15.	Sub Committee's Update A verbal update will be reported at the meeting. Minutes: The Committee received information that outlined the recent cases that had been considered locally. RESOLVED – That the information be noted.
16.	Feedback from visits to Town and Parish Councils Members of the Committee will give feedback on their visits to Town and Parish Councils. Minutes: Committee Members discussed their visits to Parish Councils since the last meeting. The feedback was positive with visits achieving the aim of raising awareness of the Committee and its’ role. RESOLVED – That the schedule recording visits to Parish Councils be updated.
