Attached for Members information is the Hearing Procedure Additional documents: Minutes: The Director of Customer, Democratic and Legal Services submitted a report on an application for a premises licence in respect of the Big Top Marquee, Park Hall overflow car park, Park Hall Road, Charnock Richard.
A copy of the application to be granted was attached to the report on the following licensable activities and at the times set out below.

The report outlined the additional measures that the applicant had indicated would be taken to promote and secure the achievement of the four relevant licensable activities.
No Police representation had been made to the application however the applicant had agreed with the Police that 1 months notice be given for any event in the Big Top by the Equestrian Theatre.
The Sub-Committee raised a number of pertinent issues with the applicant and considered all the written and verbal evidence in the interest of the provision of the Council’s adopted Statement of Licensing Policy and Government guidelines.
After taking account of the representations made by the applicant, the Sub-Committee arrived at the following unanimous DECISION:
The Committee considered the application for the grant of a premises licence having regard to the Licensing Policy and the guidance issued under Section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003.
The Committee also took note that the Police had made a representation and on the basis of that representation the applicant had agreed to a condition that the applicant would give Lancashire Police one month prior Notice for any event in the Big Top.
The Licensing Committee considered the representations made by the applicant and agreed that the premises licence is issued for the times and activities in the report subject to the conditions offered up in the operating schedule and also subject to the following additional conditions.
The applicant shall give Lancashire Police one month’s prior Notice of any event to be held in the Big Top.
The premises licence shall be for up to fourteen days per annum. |
