Central Lancashire Core Strategy Monitoring Report Report enclosed. Additional documents: Minutes: Ms Emma Price, Planning Policy Officer (Chorley), submitted a report on the Central Lancashire Core Strategy Monitoring covering the period April 2020 to March 2023.
Ms Price informed the committee on the current total housing completions and it was noted that all three authorities have been above target consistently. In 2020/21 units were up by 298, in 2021/22 the units were up by 464 and 2022/23 the units were up by 1,074.
A total of 1,406 affordable dwellings were delivered across Central Lancashire between 2020 and 2023. This exceeded the overall target of 126 dwellings by 264 in 2020/21, 282 in 2021/22 and 482 in 2022/23.
The 2023/24 monitoring report will be brought to a future meeting. Data is still being confirmed in relation to traffic and heritage.
Resolved – that the report be noted.

Date and venue of next meeting The Committee is recommended to cancel the meetings in February and March 2025 as the consultation on the Local Plan will still be ongoing. Information is exempt to the extent that, in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
Information is not exempt if it relates to proposed development for which the local planning authority may grant itself planning permission pursuant to Regulation 3 of the Town & Country Planning General Regulations 1992(a). Local Plan A presentation will be given at the meeting. Minutes: Ms Zoe Whiteside, Service Lead Spatial Planning (Chorley Council) and Mrs Carolyn Williams, Planning Policy Manager (Preston City Council) provided an update on the progress of the Central Lancashire Local Plan.
