Scoping of the review At the suggestion of the Chair, Councillor John Walker it was agreed to hold a short review on staff sickness absence and the Group are asked to consider the following: · An overview of the Authority’s current performance information relating to staff absence · Information on the interventions the Council currently implements to support the health and wellbeing of its staff · The recommendation of any improvements where identified |

Exclusion of the Public and Press To consider the exclusion of the press and public for the following items of business on the ground that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 4 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972.
By Virtue of Paragraph 2: Information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual. Condition: Information is exempt to the extent that, in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information. Information is not exempt if it relates to proposed development for which the local planning authority may grant itself planning permission pursuant to Regulation 3 of the Town & Country Planning General Regulations 1992(a).

Attendance Management Report The additional information includes -
• A copy of the attendance policy detailing the procedure for reporting absence (appendix A) and conducting welfare meetings. This also includes the process for managing short-term (including trigger points) and long-term sickness (the notification procedure) • Return to work Interview completion rates broken down by month, including those completed within 7 calendar days. |
