Appointments to Committees and Other Council Positions for 2013/2014
To approve the appointment of Members to Committees, other bodies and positions on the Council and to note shadow appointments for 2013/2014.
A schedule of nominations will be circulated (enclosed).
Minutes:
The Council considered a schedule of nominations for the appointment of committees, working groups and panels in accordance with the political balance of the Council, together with nominations to Chair and Vice Chair positions and a list of shadow portfolio and support members.
Councillor Greg Morgan, Leader of the Conservative Group expressed his disappointment that once again the ruling group had chosen to take the position of Chair on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and this point was echoed by other Members of his Group. However the Conservative Group would take part in the scrutiny process this year and put forward nominations to the Committee.
Councillor Alistair Bradley, Executive Leader proposed, Councillor Peter Wilson, Deputy Leader seconded and it was RESOLVED –
1. That the following appointments be approved for 2013/14:
