General Purposes Committee
Purpose of committee
The Committee meets occasionally to carry out, on behalf of the Council, functions relating to pensions, opposing local bills, byelaws and miscellaneous functions relating to footpaths, bridleways, rights of way and the appointment of officers for particular purposes.
The Committee also discharges other functions of the Council in case of urgency or emergency.
